1. Overview & Commitment to Privacy

Hydro Clips is built upon a strict local-first privacy architecture. We believe your gameplay recordings, voice communications, and personal media belong exclusively to you. Hydro Clips does not run background telemetry spyware, monetize user information, or monitor personal activity.

2. Data Handling & Local Video Storage

All video captures, continuous rolling replay buffers (Instant Replay), and screenshots are encoded and stored directly on your personal computer drive (default: Videos/LiquidClips). None of your recorded clips or audio tracks are uploaded, analyzed, or stored on Hydro Clips servers.

3. Google Drive Integration (Optional)

Cloud synchronization is 100% optional. When you choose to connect your Google Drive account:

Authentication takes place directly via Google's official OAuth 2.0 protocol.
Your credentials and refresh tokens are encrypted and saved solely in your local application directory (%APPDATA%/HydroClips/drive-tokens.json).
No third-party server intercepts your OAuth tokens or has access to your Google Drive files.
You can disconnect your account at any time with a single click from the Drive tab.

4. Audio & Microphone Processing

Voice Activity Detection (VAD) and Push-to-Talk audio processing operate entirely within the local WebAudio/Chromium sandbox on your hardware. Audio analysis is strictly utilized in real-time to trigger noise gate thresholds; raw audio data is never transcribed or transmitted to any external server.

5. Telemetry & Crash Diagnostics

Hydro Clips does not collect telemetry, keyboard logs, or gameplay monitoring. Any optional crash diagnostics are strictly anonymized and limited to operating system version and hardware encoder availability for bug fixes.
